Draw Rules
Effective 7 October 2026
The official rules for Trove’s draws: the shard draws (every 6 hours and weekly) and Chase. They’re part of the Terms of Service. Entry is free: no purchase is necessary, and prizes have no cash value.
1. Sponsor
The draws are run by Trove.
2. When
- 6-hour draw: closes at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC. The next one opens as each closes.
- Weekly draw: from Monday 00:00 UTC to the next Monday 00:00 UTC.
- Winners are picked a couple of minutes after the close.
3. Who can enter
Anyone with a Trove account in good standing under the Terms of Service.
4. How to enter
- Buy tickets with shards, which you earn by playing (or top up in the optional Shop). A ticket costs 10 shards.
- Limits: 5 tickets per player in each 6-hour draw, and 200 in the weekly draw.
- About 1 crate in 21 also holds a free ticket. It goes into the current 6-hour draw and doesn’t count toward the limit.
- Tickets can’t be refunded, except if a draw is cancelled.
5. Prizes
- 6-hour draw: 3 spirits, 1 Rare (drawn first) and 2 Uncommon. Each goes to a different winner.
- Weekly draw: 1 Legendary spirit.
- Prizes are shown on the Draws page before you enter. They’re added straight to the winner’s collection, with XP.
6. Odds
For each pick, your chance is your tickets divided by all the tickets still in the running. The Draws page shows your current chance.
7. How winners are picked
- When a draw opens, we publish the SHA-256 fingerprint of its secret seed.
- At the close, the list of entries is frozen and fingerprinted.
- Each pick is HMAC-SHA256(seed, list fingerprint + pick number), mapped onto the tickets in the running. A winner can’t win twice in one draw.
- The seed is revealed after the draw. “Check this draw” on the Draws page recomputes every pick in your browser.
8. Chase
A chase is one spirit split into numbered spots that you take with shards. When every spot is taken, one spot wins the spirit.
- Quick Chase: a Uncommon spirit, 6 spots at 8 shards each.
- Rare Chase: a Rare spirit, 9 spots at 15 shards each.
- Epic Chase: a Epic spirit, 12 spots at 25 shards each.
- Gold Chase: a Legendary spirit, 20 spots at 40 shards each.
- A player can hold up to 30% of a chase’s spots (at least 3).
- Every spot earns XP when the chase is drawn, win or lose.
- The winning spot is HMAC-SHA256(seed, fingerprint of the spot list), so it’s fixed the moment the board fills and nobody can know it in advance.
- A chase that isn’t full within 48 hours isn’t drawn: every spot is refunded in shards.
9. General
We may cancel or pause a draw or chase if there’s cheating or a technical failure that affects its fairness. If we do, tickets and spots are refunded in shards. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply.
